A study on exoskeleton creature anatomy. As a reference for the model, the detailing and the textures, I used photos of several Praying Mantis and some beetles as well.
The base model was done with Autodesk Maya, the sculpting with Mudbox, the texturing with Photoshop and ZBrush,
the seams fixing with Bodypaint.
Lighting and rendering in Softimage|XSI and post work in Photoshop.
